|Evocative Music, Elegant Women, and Exotic Cocktails: Live On Luxuriamusic.com!
Beginning with the October 2006 installment, Quiet City: Radio in Hi-Fi joined the other live broadcasts happening at Luxuriamusic.com. We think we are doing something a little different, however, and we are calling it "The Quiet City Penthouse Party."
We've always had a party going here at the in Hi-Fi "penthouse," New York, while the Quiet City broadcasts took place. Now that we are streaming live, we thought why not stream the whole damn party? Creamy Stevens of Starshine Burlesque will be shimmying on our little go-go platform, DJs will be spinning and guests will be chatting and yes, drinking! - live on two webcams. So why not join the party? Make a pitcher of your favorite cocktail (so you don't have to get up) and tune into "The Quiet City Penthouse Party" on the third Wednesday of each month. Have one on us!
|Quiet City: Radio In Hi-Fi
|Quiet City: Radio In Hi-Fi is presented by Jack Fetterman with Peter Principle every third Wednesday 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. EST.
The show grew from In Hi-Fi, the club night in New York City. The format is a two-hour program consisting of four half hour sets from a rotating cartel of vinyl archeologists, specializing in Evocative Music.
In 1996, Jack Fetterman and Scott Springer created the In Hi-Fi party at Bar d'O in New York City. Soon regular guest DJs Anita (the Meat Mistress) Serwacki and Peter Principle (of Tuxedomoon) became an integral part of the concept. Their list of guests included The Millionaire and Brother Cleve of Combustible Edison, Irwin Chusid, Joseph Lanza, Ashley Warren, The Karminskys, Arling & Cameron, the Easy Alohas, The B+M DJs, Le Hammond Inferno, DJ Lucien, Jonny Perl (of Misty Roses), The Maxwell Implosion, DJ Jimmy Botticelli, Chuck Kelley, Dennis Kelley, Gaylord Fields, Michelle Boule, David Garland, Ursula 1000, DJ Franco and DJ Otefsu.
